F1 Race : Azerbaijan GP
Before I talk about Azerbaijan lets have a little look at China and what was our first profitable week of the year after taking it easy whilst the form settles down. Once again the much tipped Ferrari has come up short. I think they have the ultimate power unit, but cannot quite use it all due to cooling issues and with only 3 engines for the season, they need to be very careful. That said Mercedes have made the first 3 races 1-2's and that certainly wasn't on the cards.
Finally I do as I did last year with my star man and dunce of the week :
Star of the week : Albon : He was going to be in the Dunce shortlist for the crash in FP3 which took him out of the qualifying sessions, however the drive from where he started in the pitlane right through half the field was very impressive.
Dunce of the Week : Couple of candidates this week, but it is Ferrari that take the wooden spoon for me. There is one clear reason. TEAM BLOODY ORDERS! Really? Race 3? Turn it in! Its really poor from a spectator point of view, I would understand in the last 5-6 races but after 3 races - no thank you just let them race! LeClerc looks quick, perhaps quicker than Seb although it looks as though we'll never find out this season. Have a word with yourself Ferrari.
So we head to Azerhbaijan, a street course after the first race I was really disappointed with but have really grown to like this event, there is the mega long straight adding to the very narrow Monaco-esc sections immediately After. It always creates drama, am with a return to European timing, there'll be no 4am alarm calls this week.

Team Line Ups for 2019
Early Value / Pre Qualifying Bet :
Max Verstappen 25/1 - 3 places EW : Love this price. I know on headlines the Redbull's have been along way out in terms for form this season so far, but last season here in Azerbaijan they flew for a long time and we're one two in running until they ran into each other and gave the win to Lewis (after VB had got a puncture). This course is an absolute nightmare for safety cars because of the tight nature of 2/3rds of the course. Every chance of a suprise or two this week.

two drivers with big steps up so the price reflects the risk, but I cannot help but think in respect of Gasly that Honda engine will give Redbull genuine title chances next year (and PG is huge value compated to the 4/1 about for Max Verstappen. As for LeClerc? I think he is a huge talent, looking at what he did in the Sauber this year. So much so I will actually be not only backing him for a top 3 finish in the title race but I think he might just out perform Seb and see Seb leave the team at the end of 2019.
